Metrics wins Best Listed Fund and Alternative Investment Manager Awards

Metrics Credit Partners has received several awards over the past 12 months, recognising the strong skills and experience of the investment team and the unique products the firm has developed for investors.

The MCP Master Income Trust (ASX:MXT), Australia’s first ASX-listed corporate loan fund and the country’s largest credit LIT, was awarded 2020 Listed Fund of the Year by Zenith Investment Partners in November.

The Zenith awards aim to recognise and encourage excellence in funds management across all asset classes. In determining the winners, the fund rating house assesses the strength of the investment team, investment philosophy, portfolio construction, and risk management capability.

Earlier in the year, Metrics was named Australia’s Best Alternative Investment Manager at the 2020 Hedge Funds Rock + Australian Alternative Investment Awards. The award is decided based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative factors agreed by a panel of expert judges.

More recently, Metrics was nominated for two categories in the Private Debt Investor Awards – Asia Pacific Lender of the Year and Asia Pacific Real Estate Debt Manager of the Year.

Metrics Credit Partners Managing Partner, Andrew Lockhart, commented:

“It is pleasing to see this recognition for our team and the ground-breaking vehicles Metrics has developed to provide investors with access to the Australian corporate loan market. In today’s low-yield world, private debt is a highly attractive asset class for attractive regular income, and we’re thrilled to be able to provide investors a range of alternative investment options.

“These awards highlight the capability of our team and are a confirmation of our strong focus on risk management as a means to preserve investor capital. They also reflect the consistent returns we have delivered for our investors, and the important source of non-bank debt finance we provide to support the growth of our borrowers’ businesses.”
